Experience

Steven A. Leitman, P.A.

April, 1998 – Present

My goal is to represent clients going through a divorce in a professional and cost effective manner. I achieve this goal by educating clients on how the divorce process works and by seeking solutions so that expensive litigation can be avoided. The majority of my clients come from referrals from past clients and other attorneys.

I am fortunate to have built great working relationships with most of the attorneys who practice family law in the Jacksonville area. Most of my cases are handled with everyone involved headed toward the common goal of arriving at a settlement that everyone can be satisfied with.

Lewis, Price and Leitman

October 1990 – April 1998 (7 years 7 months)

When I was originally hired, the name of the firm was Lewis & Price. After several years, I was made a named partner. It was at Lewis & Price that I learned how to practice law as I had two highly skilled lawyers mentoring me.

I was able to represent clients in many different areas of the law including but not limited to personal injury, family law and criminal law. I also became a mediator and mediated over 500 family law cases.

State Attorney's Office - 4th Judicial Circuit

August 1989 – October 1990 (1 year 3 months)

I worked as a prosecutor in both misdemeanor and felony court. I was able to gain valuable trial experience during my time with the State Attorney's Office. Based in part on one of the non-jury trials I won against one of the partners, I was asked to interview (and was hired) with the law firm of Lewis & Price.
